FOUNDATION AMOR Y ESPERANZA
A GenDev loan was dispersed to Foundation Amor y Esperanza in January 2014. The foundation is comprised of a school as well as nine different daycare programs around Quito that serve some of the poorest neighborhoods. The loan went toward starting a small catering business run by the women who work in the daycare kitchens. The profits go to the women who work there, providing them with fair wages that they normally wouldn't be able to secure. Once the project is fully established 10% of the profits will go to the Foundation to help them become sustainable, without having to depend on the funds of donors.
